Call for Papers

1st International Research Symposium “Social Preferences and Inequalities: Updates in Behavioral Economics and Experimental Studies” invites submissions for research works to be presented at the symposium, which will be held at the University of Santiago in Santiago, Chile.

We welcome contributions from scholars and practitioners in the field of economics, social sciences and other related fields, who are interested in exploring various aspects of social preferences and their implications for social economic decision-making.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Experimental Studies on Social Preferences and Inequalities
  • Social Preferences, Fairness and Cooperation
  • Gender Differences in Social Preferences
  • Social Preferences in Game Theory and Mechanism Design
  • Cultural and Social Influences on Social Preferences
  • Social Preferences and Public Policy
  • Environmental Behavior and Social Preferences
  • Social Preferences in Organizational Settings
  • Cultural and Social Influences on Social Preferences
  • Neuroeconomic Approaches to Studying Social Preferences

Proposals should consist of an extended abstract of an original research study with a maximum length of 1,000 words. We encourage the use of empirical, experimental and theoretical approaches to address the symposium theme. Authors are invited to submit their extended abstracts, specifying the methodological approach, via the registration form by 30 August 2023.

Accepted studies will be presented in parallel sessions during the symposium, allowing for in-depth discussions and constructive feedback from participants.
